Hello
Going way back, I always wanted to be an artist of some kind. In kindergarten, I was asked what I wanted to be when I grew up, and I always went back and forth between saying a drummer for a rock band or an actor. I couldn't afford to buy a drum set, so welcome to my acting website! Over time, I wanted a more immediate scratch for that artistic itch, so I began developing my skills as a photographer. A selection from my portfolio is also here for your viewing pleasure.
A Little Bit About Me
I was born in Palmer, Alaska and raised in Wasilla, Alaska just 50 miles outside of Anchorage. I first felt the thrill of a stage my sophomore year of high school, when one of the leads in Ken Ludwig's "Shakespeare in Hollywood" dropped out. I had taken a drama class and had performed a monologue here and there, so when the instructor asked if I would replace him, I said -- why not? That began my lifelong engagement with the performing arts.
After high school, I began my studies at the University of Alaska Anchorage, where I split my time between studying acting, performing in mainstage shows, and hanging out at the University Radio Station, where they allowed me to spin songs from my favorite David Bowie, Queen, Talking Heads, and Lou Reed albums. I recieved my BA in Theatre in 2015.
Moving to Portland, Oregon in 2016, I enrolled in a two-year intensive program at the Actors Conservatory. I crafted and forged my love of Shakespeare through their program, as well as with working with Salt and Sage in town.
After completing the Actors Conservatory, I moved to Chicago in 2020. . . and then a global pandemic hit. I was wonderfully invited to practice my craft with the online group, Zooming the Movies, where I was able to read scripts of my favorite movies and television shows such as Back to the Future, Twin Peaks, Before Sunset and Doctor Who.
Most recently, I have been in Montana Shakespeare in the Park's productions of Measure for Measure and The Three Musketeers. I'm currently preparing to bring to life Shakespeare's Henry IV Part 1, Henry IV Part 2, and Henry V in rep with Salt and Sage in Portland, opening in August 2024.
